Doors From Hell

The Doors From Hell is my first project that involves programming with the Prop2 Micro Controller from EFX/TEK.
I am using the Prop2 to control the timing, the opening and closing of the door using pneumatics, the lighting on the inside and the outside, the sound via a VMusic2 mp3 player and a fog machine

A couple things that I discovered while setting up and running this prop.

A PIR (Passive Infra Red) detector will always go off if you have it pointed at a Tiki Torch.

I may have to have a longer delay between run time and off time. The VMusic player stopped playing audio when it was running to often.

How to for the "Doors From Hell"

First things first.... build the doors. I used redwood fence planks for the doors, I wnated to simulate old worn doors. I built my doors to fit into a spot under my deck.
I did discover what MAY open and close while lying on its back may have a difficult opening and closeing while upright. I had to do quite a bit of trimming to make everything fit.

I have one pneumatic cylinder for each door. I used single action cylinders to save a little money and then discovered that they did not have enough oomph to close the doors all of the way, so I added the springs. The springs are there to assist the doors to close.
